Orange Cake


Ingredients 

1 1/2 cups soft wheat flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup orange juice
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon baking soda 
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon grated orange zest
a pinch of salt


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175-180 C). 
  • Grease and flour your cake pan.
  • Sift the flour, baking soda and salt into a bowl. 
  • In another bowl whisk the sugar, orange juice, orange zest, vegetable oil and vanilla extract until the sugar dissolves. 
  • Add the flour mix and stir until thoroughly combined. 
  • Bake in the preheated over for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes clean.
